I was taught to crochet by my grandmother and my great-grandmother when I was 5 years old.  I have crocheted on and off most of my life.  My children have enjoyed numerous handmade gifts and items throughout the years.  Recently, my interests have turned to Filet Crochet.  I mainly do projects that have a religious theme in this format, but have done others as well.  I have been told by my pastors, my friends, and numerous other people that I should make my projects available for purchase. 

I do my Filet Crochet in Size 3 Cotton Thread.  In my opinion, this makes the detail in the project stand out better. There is a tradition with these works are often crocheted and always completed during our Sunday Morning Church Service with our Pastors blessing.

Like many people, I have Arthritis and my constant crocheting allows me to manage my pain.  My pastors understand this, and support my efforts to do this.  Although some people find it hard to believe I can pay full attention to the sermon and crochet at the same time.  My work is of the highest quality and is suitable for being professionally displayed.
